New Zealand is basically two islands with a road running around both and mountain ranges in the middle.

Take the top three percent of the beauty of Colorado and Hawaii, put it in a blender and dump it in the middle of the ocean and you have NZ.

It’s not just that it is the most beautiful spot on the planet, you can’t find ugly places anywhere outside the industrial areas of few major cities.

For a stupid example, The parking lot of the Woolworths in NZ’s largest city has one of the most breathtaking views I have seen. How often can you say that?

In most places you must drive a long distances to find somewhere beautiful to hike. Here, you just stop your van and take off in any direction. Having spent a few months circumnavigation both islands, you will not find a more friendly and outdoor focused place. I have loved it so…
