So, the Grand Plan is to start at NZ’s furtherest North Point… Cape Regina lighthouse and slowly head South. Hitting the hundreds of major and minor hiking trails on both islands as I slowly explore.

But when not at a trailhead, Serenity and I spend most of our time camping on beaches. Because they are unbelievable.
Let’s just get this out there: NZ has the most amazing beaches on the planet… bar none.
Not just constant pristine breathtaking terrain, but beach camping is actively encouraged with immaculate bathrooms, camping facilities, showers and complete lack of crowds.
The people are just as amazing. No litter, quiet, family oriented, helpful and respectful of their environment and others.
It’s like I have moved to a place inhabited entirely my Mr. Rodger’s clones. Seems like a have left an entire country inhabited by rowdy teenagers ( my own ) to one inhabited by adults. The delta is truly shocking.
